My brother received this as a Christmas present. The plate came inside a sleeve and was meant to be a surprise when opened. The plate inside disturbed everyone in our family. I don’t know where they are sold, but they are produced by Topps, and have a magnet on the back. I don’t know if this is the right place to submit something like this, but I was hoping you could help me. There are so many other pictures of Leia they could use, and they definitely didn’t need to poetry the SLVGRL one. Besides that it says “Rescue Mission” across the top. Everything about it seems odd for a children’s toy to me. It was weird for a little boy to open but it would be even more awkward for a little girl to open, in my opinion. I would really like to see this plate take out of production. Thank you for any help.
[SPARK comments: WOW! I’ve always had a huge problem with the way people talk about “Slave Leia” in this reminiscent, sexy way—like, y’all know she was being held captive & sexually assaulted, right?—but this definitely tops it all. You can contact Topps and express your extreme displeasure here. We’ll definitely put this on blast for others to do the same.]
