whoneedsfeminism:

“I need feminism because as a 5’0, Person Of Colour, no one takes me seriously, and everyone undermines me.’”

It’s both the big and the little things. My parents don’t support my dreams, and I find myself, especially during my last year of high school, having to wear heels, and do my make up and look impeccable, just so I could say two or three things and people wouldn’t judge me based on my looks.
I’m always overlooked, and constantly undermined to the point where I was getting tiny parts in school plays, even though my teacher herself said that I’m good.
I’m sick of being treated like a child becuase of my skin colour and stature. It’s treatment that needs to change.
